Obituary for
Hazel H Sego (Hand)
Funeral services will be 12 noon Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Hazel H. Sego age 90 of Gadsden who died Tuesday. Reverends John Dickinson and Bill Harbison will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Sego loved The Lord and loved her East Gadsden Baptist Church and church family .She taught 3 and 4 year old Sunday School for over 30 years teaching children and second generations of their children. She worked as a dental hygienist for over 50 years and loved every minute of it .She was a people person, loving wife , mother, Nanny and friend to all, and she and her big bright smile will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by husband Bill Sego , daughter Beth Smith, grandson Justin Smith and 7 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by children Dennis(Debbie)Sego, Lisa(Mark) Stephens, grandchildren Jennifer(Scott) Smith, Deanna(Marshall) Williams, David Sego, James(Elysia) Stephens, seven great grandchildren, sisters Irene Becker, Lynda(Ralph) Godfrey, Sherry(Roger) Pate and sisters-in law Frances Williams and Clara White and Numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Etowah County Humane Society.
Special thanks to Drs. Ralph Wesley, Dr. Jarrod Warren, Dr. McGwier, Dr. John Wilborn, Dr. Steven Jackson , Dr. Christopher Kelly, Amedisys Hospice and Mountain Cove Assisted Living. And a big thank you to members of Macedonia Baptist Church who loved her as their own.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:30 am until the time of service
