Obituary for Lora Mae Emery (Clayton)

Mrs. Lora Mae (Nell) Emery, 90, of Attalla died Thursday, December 7, 2017.

Nell was raised in Keener, Al., she met and married the love of her life Edgar Emery.
She was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, and a long time member of Greenwood
Baptist Church. Nell lived in Keener until 2008 when due to health, moved in with her
son, Travis. She loved crocheting, Atlanta Braves, and making muffins.

Nell was preceded in death by love of her life, Ernest Edgar Emery (Dec.8, 2013),
Parents, Bryant and Lora Clayton; 6 brothers; 5 sisters; and great-grandson Kane Mullins

This precious lady is survived by Children; Travis Emery (Shirley), Tina Hubbard (Jack); granddaughters, Tracy Sanford (Rick), Shannon Weeks, Elizabeth Hubbard,
Amanda Phillips (Roy); great-grandchildren, Brad Mullins (Megan), Rachel McGee (Casey), David Weeks, Amy Weeks; Sister, Frankie Sue VanWinkle, and numerous
nieces, nephews, and friends.

The funeral will be 8 P.M., Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Crestwood Funeral Home with Rev. Royce Head officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery Keener. Visitation at the funeral home will be 6 – 8 P.M.

Casketbearers will be Don Emery, Rick Sanford, Brad Mullins, David Weeks, Don Bennefield, and Roy Phillips.

Special thanks to Dr. Jimmy Oguntuyo, the MICU nurses at Gadsden Regional Hospital,
and Shannon Weeks for helping take care of granny.
