Obituary for Jack Donald Butler

Graveside services will be 1 pm Tuesday at Crestwood Cemetery Gadsden Alabama for Mr. Jack Donald Butler, age 78, of Alabaster, formerly Trussville, who died Friday. Reverends David Maginnis and Alex Goodsell will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Jack loved the outdoors, especially hiking, camping and canoeing. He served as assistant Scout Master for The Boy Scouts of America for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents L.C. and Ruth Butler and Sister Evelyn Butler.
He is survived by wife of 56 years Carol Butler, daughter Cynthia (Phillip) Burrow, son Mark Butler (Hashim Ali), grandson Andrew M. Burrow and niece Sara E. Butler.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama.
The family will gather in the funeral home prior to the service.
