Obituary for Robert Eugene Dumas

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Crestwood Chapel for Robert E. Dumas, 72, of Gadsden who died Friday, March 10, 2017. Pastor Allen Ragan will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Robert Dumas was a Navy veteran and retired tool and die maker. He loved being outdoors, loved the river, being on the boat and spending time with his family and friends. He would help anyone in need and he was loved by all. Robert Dumas was a super hero to many.
He is survived by daughters, Gayle (Chris) Shaw, Tara Bates, Robin Dumas; son, James Dumas; grandchildren, Josh Waldrop, Jacob Waldrop, Dallas Bates, Kennedi Bates, Mackenzie Bates and Jonas Mundy; sister, Mildred Anderson along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ragan, Lamar Ragan, Wendell Blanks, Justin Duncan, Tyler Steakley and Steve Pannell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from noon until the time of service
