Sarah Carolyn Bowen (Morgan)
Funeral will be 2 pm Sunday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Carolyn Bowen age 73 of Gadsden who Died Thursday. Reverend Philip Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Bowen was a graduate of Holy Name of Jesus Nursing School. She went on to practice as a nurse full time, she also taught nursing at Gadsden State for over 38 years. She was a hard worker who was not afraid to get her hands dirty. She especially loved her flower garden. She was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cared for her beloved husband for over 20 years after he suffered a stroke.She also loved her dog and faithful companion L.B.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Bowen, brothers Harold and Charlie Morgan, parents Anderson and Bertie Morgan.
She is survived by daughters Ponda (Joel) Devasure and Pam Kilgo, grandson Morgan Nichols and granddaughter Jessica(Matthew) Stokes, brothers Bill(Nina) Morgan, Tommy(Vicky) Morgan John Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 4 until 6 pm.
